Solutions Overview

Virtual Try-On Feature
Introduce an innovative Virtual Try-On feature using augmented reality (AR) technology to bridge the gap between online browsing and in-store try-ons.
This interactive feature will allow users to visualize and virtually try on shoes in real-time, enhancing the online shopping experience and increasing confidence in purchasing.

By implementing a Virtual Try-On feature powered by AR technology, we can upgrade the online shoe shopping experience, making it more convenient, personalized, and enjoyable for consumers.
This innovative solution addresses the inherent challenges of online shoe shopping by providing users with the tools and confidence they need to make informed and satisfying purchase decisions, ultimately driving customer satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth.

Personas were created about the target user and researched about their needs to have a pleasant and efficient experience when buying shoes online.

During the research process carried out through the user journey map, we were able to better understand the factors that most bother users and the most positive factors about the online experience when purchasing a shoe.

One of the most negative points about purchasing online was not being able to physically try on the shoe, which is why we introduced the VIRTUAL TRY-ON on the website as the website's main tool.

Understanding&Define

Design&Prototyping

My goal is to create a layout that guides them step by step. From picking a shoe to seeing how it looks on their feet, I want every click to feel natural.

As I work on putting the layout together, I'm not just thinking about the design. I'm thinking about how our customers will feel when they use it. I want them to feel excited and happy, like they're having a great shopping experience without leaving home.

Wireframes & Prototype

Designing the wireframe for this  online store project means making a basic sketch of where everything will go on the website. I did  map out where buttons, pictures, and text will be placed, especially focusing on how customers will use the Virtual Try-On feature to pick shoes and see them on their feet. This help me plan for an easy and clear experience for our website visitors.

Visuals

For this project, I focused on using a simple and clear color palette to enhance the user experience. I chose the tones to create a welcoming atmosphere, while also ensuring that important elements stand out effectively. By keeping the colors clean and straightforward, I aimed to make the website visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Testing

Usability Studies

I conducted a usability study for this project, where I worked closely with two participants. We were testing out the virtual try-on feature on the online shoe shopping website, which uses augmented reality (AR) technology. The main aim of our study was to identify any issues users might encounter and gather feedback on how effective the feature is and how users feel about it

Key Findings : Missing Camera Access Page

Both participants encountered difficulties accessing the virtual try-on feature due to the missing page prompting camera access permissions.

Implementation : Implement Camera Access Page

Prioritize the immediate implementation of a camera access page with clear instructions and notifications guiding users to grant necessary permissions for using the virtual try-on feature.

Recommendation

The study showed that virtual try-on features can greatly improve online shoe shopping. But it's crucial to use good and dependable AR technology. Prioritize investing in cutting-edge AR technology to ensure realistic, accurate, and smooth virtual try-on experiences so online shoe store can make customers happier, boost sales, and stand out in the online shopping market.
